OK so you know we make vegan food at our events right? Well we also blog about what we eat, here: WE EAT THIS
AND we’re taking part in VEGAN MOFO 2012!
The idea is to blog about food every day, but the most exciting thing about it is that LOADS OF OTHER PEOPLE ARE DOING IT TOO! Which means your life can be filled with fig photographs, vegan bacon wrapped scallops, and cats shooting lazers out of their eyes!
If you’d like to keep up to date with stuff, the best way is RSS. I just import the feed into my mail application, or you can use google reader.
They’ve sorted all of the blogs into bundles of joy, so you can concentrate on your jam. I can’t remember which bundle we’re in because we’re so pro.
Here’s some more info:
2012 Vegan MoFo RSS Bundles
This year we’ve put our bundles into categories for those of you who are gluten free, soy free, raw, into healthy whole foods, or who just want some comfort food. Google seems to have some sort of limit set for the number of feeds allowed in a bundle now, so we’ve had to stick to categories and aren’t able to create a bundle containing all of the feeds.
Below are links to Google Reader bundles. They contain a “subscribe” button which will take you to your Google Reader page (you may have to log in) where you can choose to subscribe to all of the feeds in a category at once. This will create a separate folder in your subscriptions list, containing all the feeds in the bundle.
The second option is a little more technical. You’ll need to do this if you use a feed reader other than Google Reader. Don’t worry – it’s not scary! Most feed readers have the option of importing blog feeds, but they need to be in what’s called an OPML file.
We have included links to OPML files as well. If you go to the links above, just click on the “OPML file” link on the right side. Clicking the link will open a page, which you can save to your computer. Usually you can just hit “Ctrl+S” and save it where you like.
You now have a .xml file of the mofo blogs. Go to your reader of choice and follow its instructions for importing blogs. It should ask you to select a file…that’s the VeganMoFo file you saved! There are a lot of blogs in the complete list, so it may take your reader a few minutes to import them all.
